I chose to do a blog about guineapigs because I have a feelinga that we will own one in the future. I liked the ease of finding any information about the guineapigs. I learned that they are like squirrels and other rodents. They dig burrows in the wild in South America. Pets live in cages with water. The picture was nice and cute like.
The next quest had us contrasting world book kids vs. world book student. WBK is geared for younger students and structure length shows this. The wording shows this, but does not make you feel dumb. WBS was more detailed and went more into depth about hthe subject. WBK told you about guinea pigs. Short and simple. WBS tells you a little more. For instance WBK tells you that wild guineas burrow in the ground, WBS also tells you about the landscape.
I researched the Netherlands. I learned more from this site than I previously knew. The ease of the site would be a big help with patrons and all the info available about the subject is handy.
Next we went to World Book Discover, I liked the ease of double clicking to find a definition of a word and the pictures are handy. I think the pictures would be helpfull if a person was having a hard time reading the print. The drop down of an assortment of languages would be good if English is not the native language.
